- I know an inordinate amount of information about TV shows, which is a statement that should come as no surprise and yet it does. It truly, truly does especially regarding shows I haven't completely engaged with yet.
- Trying out a software designed to make writing easier--Scrivner, used by writing professionals everywhere!--resulted in organizing writing. It worked. Who knew joining the crowd was where the answer lay all along?
- The Chuck fourth season closer was brilliant in ways I haven't seen the show being brilliant since it's first real season finale, ie the second season.
- The creativity and fine work on The Chicago Code makes me want to slap the viewers out there who just aren't watching it, forcing the network to...what else? Cancel the show.
- Been reading a book on craft entitled "Writing Fiction: A Guide to Narrative Craft", primarily to give me some insights on what to include in my self-reflexive essay. But there are a ton of great points in there too.
- This bulleted entry is dedicated to one of my fellow writers on the course who is just too brilliant for his own good. I want to kill him for the talent he has. But in a good, kind way of course. He's been roped into the TMS team for a reason.
- The year's coming to an end and I'm getting depressed already. Truthfully though: I've been depressed for a while. Can't apply for an MFA until I don't get my MA transcript. So basically: October.
- Not sure I'll still be there by then. Might probably be back in Pakistan finalizing my novel, and trying to see what sort of a job situation really exists for highly communicable people. Possibilities are endless, reminds me of a higher power in play.
- Current reads: Something Wicked This Way Comes, Nights at the Circus, The Feast of Love, The Blue Bedspread, The Night Watch, The Girl on the Green Bicycle, The Time Traveler's Wife, White Teeth, The Blind Assassin, On Beauty, The Life of Pi, Being Human poetry anthology, The Fact of a Doorframe (Adrienne Rich's poetry). Shoot me now.
- No matter how I spin it, fact is: tomorrow's all about The Good Wife finale. Drat it.
- Good night!
